Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mill Operations Senior Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Mill Operations Superintendent, the Mill Operations Senior Supervisor will play a key leadership role in the development of a new gold processing plant. During the project execution phase, the incumbent will be a key player in the ramp out of processing activities from an operating perspective.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Develop the standard operating procedures and ensure the operating team has been certified to operate the unit operations safely and effectively.
• Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures, statutory requirements including employment standards, health and safety, environment, and company policies.
• Mentor and support the plant operations team with a particular focus on training and overall skills development.
• Ensure resources are available and utilized in an effective and efficient manner. Set clear performance objectives, provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
• Lead by example, and promote a culture of safety and environmental protection in the workplace
• Plan and organize work, oversee work progress and achieve production targets
• Recognize and anticipate operational opportunities / challenges to continuously improve the operation.

• Intermediate knowledge with MS Office

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

• Highschool diploma or equivalent, a college degree in Metallurgy is an asset.
• Common Core for Basic Mill Operator
• 10 years gold milling operational experience with 5+ years in a Supervisory role
• Thorough knowledge of Ministry Regulations

LOCATION

• This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario.
